Inaugural Miva Day Festival

We finally said the words we’d been holding onto for years: “It’s happening.”

What looked like a brand-new festival to the outside world was, in truth, the revival of a dream that started long before the name “Miva Collective” ever existed. The idea first emerged back in early 2020, when we attempted to host our very first concert at a downtown Suisun City venue. It was scheduled for April of 2020 tickets ready, artists confirmed, momentum building. And then, like the rest of the world, everything went still. The pandemic forced us to cancel, placing the dream on pause for reasons bigger than all of us.

But dreams rarely die; they simply change shape.

A couple of years later, that same energy transformed into our Music Speaks Volumes live recording series, a creative pivot that kept us connected to music, storytelling, vulnerability, and community. Every recording reminded us of why we started in the first place: to create a space that celebrates the arts while advocating for mental health and youth advancement. Not as rules or obligations, but as reminders that joy and wellness can coexist in our culture. That celebration itself can be a form of healing.

When Miva Collective officially became a brand, we made a promise, to build something with purpose, rooted in experience and truth. Coming from a background in DJing, producing, and living deeply within the creative community, mental health wasn’t an abstract talking point. It was lived. It was real. It was familiar. And it deserved a platform big enough to reach beyond conversation.

Miva Day became that platform.

We kept it simple. Honest. Excited. Just the way it felt.

There was so much more to announce, talent, partners, community collaborators, experiences, but this first moment was about planting the flag. About letting the community know that something built with heart, purpose, and cultural intention was coming. And it was coming soon.

The early snippets we’d shared on Instagram stories, hints about the venue, the mission, the vision, had all led to this one unified reveal. And as the comments rolled in and the date circled itself onto people’s calendars, we realized something:

This wasn’t just our moment.
It belonged to everyone who had been waiting for something like this, something joyful, something intentional, something rooted in community.

Save the date!
You’re not going to want to miss this.
