We welcome individuals, clubs or groups who want to make an impact while supporting youth advancement and mental health awareness. Volunteers help with guest services, stage support, wellness zones, the car show, sustainability efforts, and more, all while enjoying exclusive perks, official festival merchandise, and behind-the-scenes access. Miva Day is a community-driven, nonprofit festival built to uplift music, art, youth development, and local culture. Although we are still a growing festival, we operate with the same care, professionalism, and forward-thinking approach as major national events. To protect our guests, performers, vendors, and volunteers, the following guidelines outline how we keep our space safe and enjoyable for all.

SECURITY MEASURES

To ensure a safe event for all attendees, Miva Day works closely with local law enforcement, city agencies, and licensed security teams. Visible safety measures may include:

  • Bag checks
  • Walk-through metal detectors or handheld wands
  • Security patrols
  • K-9 sweeps
  • Controlled entry and exit points

For smoother entry, please review our Prohibited Items list before arriving.

PUBLIC + EVENT POLICIES

Miva Day will follow all federal, state, and local health guidelines in effect at the time of the festival. These guidelines may change based on public agency requirements or safety conditions, and attendees agree to comply with any updates, including:

  • Adjustments to festival capacity or entry procedures
  • Safety screenings at entry points
  • Restrictions on certain items or behaviors
  • Weather- or environment-related precautions (e.g., heat, smoke, wind)

If an attendee refuses to follow required safety measures, the festival reserves the right to deny entry or remove them from the event without refund.

ILLNESS ACKNOWLEDGMENT

By attending Miva Day, guests acknowledge that festivals are public gatherings and may carry exposure risks to common viral illnesses. Attendees should assess their personal risk before attending.

Please stay home if you are experiencing symptoms of any contagious illness. You help keep our community safe by doing so.

MEDICAL SUPPORT

Trained medical staff will be available on-site.If you or someone near you needs assistance:By attending Miva Day, guests acknowledge that festivals are public gatherings and may carry exposure risks to common viral illnesses. Attendees should assess their personal risk before attending.

  • Locate the nearest medical tent
  • Notify the closest staff member, volunteer, or security officer

EMERGENCY ANNOUNCEMENTS

In the event of an emergency or important update, information may be communicated through:

  • Stage audio announcements
  • Staff direction
  • Text or app notifications (if enabled for the festival)

Please stay alert and follow instructions from staff or public safety officials.

CAR SHOW SAFETY

Because Miva Day includes an official car showcase, additional safety rules apply:

  • No revving, burnouts, speeding, or moving vehicles outside of designated program times
  • All display vehicles must remain parked once placed by festival staff
  • Spectators must remain behind barriers or marked lines
  • Drivers must follow staff instructions during check-in, positioning, and exit
  • Only registered vehicles with proper tags will be allowed in the car show area

Any unsafe behavior may result in immediate removal from the festival.

CODE OF CONDUCT

Miva Day is committed to creating a positive, inclusive, family-friendly environment.The following behaviors are strictly prohibited and may result in removal without refund:

  • Harassment, discrimination, intimidation, or hate speech of any kind
  • Excessive intoxication or unsafe substance use
  • Fighting, threatening behavior, or physical altercations
  • Public indecency
  • Unauthorized access to restricted, backstage, or staff-only areas
  • Throwing objects or creating unsafe conditions
  • Vandalism, theft, or destruction of property
  • Bringing prohibited items onto festival grounds
  • Fraudulent use of wristbands, credentials, or ADA accommodations
  • Sitting, standing, or blocking designated fire lanes and walkways
  • Unsafe operation of a vehicle or mobility device
  • Violation of local, state, or federal laws

Festival staff may revoke wristbands, remove vehicles, or involve local law enforcement as necessary.

Zero-Tolerance Harassment Policy

Everyone has the right to feel safe. If you experience or witness harassment, inappropriate behavior, or discrimination, notify a staff member immediately.

Family-Friendly Environment

Miva Day welcomes guests of all ages. Please help maintain a respectful and positive atmosphere around children and families.

Photography + Media Area

By entering the festival, attendees acknowledge that they may appear in event photos or videos used for promotional or archival purposes.

Drones + Unauthorized Filming

Drones, RC vehicles, and aerial devices are not allowed unless explicitly approved by festival management.

Weather Preparedness

The festival includes shaded areas and hydration stations, but attendees are encouraged to bring sun protection and stay hydrated.
